The Mulberry and Bigland Green Centre (MBGC) is a purpose-built community facility run by Mulberry Schools Trust. Opened by HRH the Duchess of Cornwall in 2013, the centre includes six classrooms, , a community hall space for larger events, and a professional theatre space, as well as incorporating the Wapping & Bigland Children’s Centre.
MBGC is used for a wide variety of activities by the community, from a range of adult education classes to one-off events, celebrations and projects for the community. In our beautiful theatre space we regularly present high-quality theatre productions, as well as talks, lectures and conferences. Our spaces are also regularly hired out by a range of local partners and organisations.

‘We were so lucky to be able to use the inspirational setting of the Mulberry & Bigland Green Centre to run our inaugural 6 week summer academy, training 70+ brand new Police Now participants. We were delivering high intensity (12+ hour days), tech enabled, logistically complex training whilst welcoming over 200 visitors during the programme. The layout of the centre, the variety and flexibility of the spaces, the transport links, the excellent tech and the exceptional support and commitment from the staff and technicians were a huge part of why the academy was such a success. It was great value and we would use it again in a heartbeat!

Being the mum of 4 children at primary school means I never had enough time to myself. Started coming to the fitness classes here at MBGC and have made such a big impact on my life, I am fitter than I have ever been and have lots of energy to take the children to the park after school. Have made new friends and improved my own health.
