Mulberry and Bigland Green Children’s Centre

The children’s centre offers a fantastic free service to families with children under 5 years old. They run a range of services that allow parents and their young children to play and learn together in a fun environment.

Mulberry and Bigland Green Children's Centre offer a huge range of free support and services for local residents. This new centre allows even more children in the borough to have the best possible start in life.

The Centre offers you and your children the opportunity to play with a variety of toys, activities and resources in a safe child centred environment.

There is always painting, water, sand or other tactile activities at our sessions alongside construction, puzzles, drawing, cars, home corner, trains, small world, role play and free choice. We have books for storytelling and musical instruments to bang, shake and rattle to music and songs.

The play team staff that run these sessions are there to support you, and welcome feedback, questions and requests. They can also advise you on other session or services that you might like to access.

As well as a variety of play and learning sessions for children, We have a dedicated family support team who support our local families.

The centre offers a wide range of services including:

  • Health Services

  • Stay and play

  • Parenting support

  • Groups for dads

  • Speech and language support

  • Advice about getting a job, training and Volunteering supported by our Community development officer

  • Training Courses (Healthy lifestyle programme, First Aid and Positive Parenting)

  • Early education Grant advice and support
